It's called STYLE !

Sebastian is developing his own, unique style.  Who are we to judge? Wellies are in right now, right?  And anyway, who could argue with that runway stare - Or how he can turn on a dime and start flirting with the camera for that matter.  You go, kid!

logos

Identity.  Such a loaded word!  Who are you? What do you stand for?  What do you represent? Almost 10 years ago I was laid off and my identity was shaken to the core.  Today, I'm happy to say that I know Who I am and Who's I am and there's nothing to worry about.  And God has taken me from that humbling experience to places I never dreamed about.  Case in point - Ion and I are starting our own company, Vinos Calpe, which will import and distribute wines from Spain.  Tonight, we're happy to unveil our new identity - our logo!  Compliments of my friend and former co-worker, Matt Dvorak, who now has his own company as well.  If you're interested in enlisting Matt for your endeavours let me know and I'll hook you up.   If not, sit back and enjoy the view.  It's the simplified view of Ifach, the great granite boulder marking the coast of Spain in Calpe - second only in mass to Gibraltar.  Calpe is where you'll find Ion's family home in Spain.  72 degrees.  The sea on one side, bounded by lavender and rosemary-covered mountains on the other.  Vinyards nestled in the crevices between.  Sound yummy?  We think so too.

The actual mountain itself:

He's Touching Me!

After many years of arguing with my brother over who touched whom first, I see that in the coming years, I too will come to appreciate the fine line between brotherhood and invading personal space.  It's true right?  You want your dear ones close.  But not that close!? But then you are far apart and you feel like something's missing.  That annoying, nagging, wonderful feeling that you are forever tied by blood and years of togetherness.  I wonder how long it will be before my two realize what a gift of togetherness they have been given.

Farewell, Summer

Ah, Labour Day.  Such a weird time of year.  On one hand, the leaves immediately fell off our cherry tree. On the other, I see kids setting off for school and fondly remember all the promise a brand new binder and a fresh eraser can hold.

Sebastian apparently had a lot to think about as well.  He was in a solitary mood all weekend.  Even when our yard was full of friends and family bidding a farewell to summer, he was content to play by himself, at least part of the time.
